This painting captures a California Burrito with red salsa and a soda. A classic San Diego food that any local will recognize. Kirsten grew up in San Diego and feels that the California Burrito has a special place in her heart. Partly nostalgia, as it was the meal she ate most as a teenager (don't we all miss the days of when they were $5). But also these burritos are a nod to the rich Mexican culture of San Diego. Taco Shops on every corner are part of what make this place feel like home.
